Anthony Macias vs. Edwynn Jones – Xtreme Knockout 7
Former UFC and Pride fighter Anthony “Mad Dog” Macias will face Edwynn “Ox” Jones in the main event of Xtreme Knockout 7.
Against an experienced fighter like Macias, Jones has a record of 6-14 and is hoping that a win will provide him with the opportunity to participate in bigger shows.
Next month, Macias turns 41. Back in the mid-90s, he fought for the UFC and participated in both UFC 4 and 6. He also fought for Pride FC in Japan. Against a variety of high-level opponents, he is matched and will be an extremely tough match for Jones, the one-dimensional striker who has fought professionally for only 22 months.
One has to see in this match if youth and strength over experience and technique. Saturday night will give the answer to the question but most of the people will put money on experience.
Xtreme Knockout will be providing fans with additional sources of entertainment throughout the night, in addition to the eight fights on the card. At 6pm, a pre-fight party featuring the band Egress will kick off. To keep fans occupied between fights, a bikini contest and MMA vendor booths will also be available. Randy White, former Cowboy great, will also be making an appearance, as a bonus.
At providing spectators with a fun, XKO does an exceptional job, unique experience at their events that is unmatched by other promotions in the area. Saturday looks to be no exception.
At “The Gym” in Arlington, XKO 7 will take place at June 5. At 8 p.m. the fight starts.
