Josh Koscheck vs. Paul Daley, UFC 113

Although the fight between Josh Koscheck and Paul Daley is scheduled for UFC 113 on May 8 an injury sustained by Koscheck could hold up the fight.

Koscheck suffered an undisclosed injury in a recent fight against Paulo Thiago. The fight is scheduled to take place at Bell Centre in Montreal. It will feature a rematch light heavyweight champion fight between Lyoto Machida and Mauricio Rua. Although the bout is subject to Koscheck’s injury it has been confirmed for the given date. Koscheck also posted a message, on his Twitter site, stating that the fight will happen.

Daley has had a rapid rise to the top of the welterweight division. He has had impressive back-to-back victories over Dustin Hazelett and Martin Kampmann. He says he looks forward to his bout with Koscheck because he knows the fighter will stand long enough so he can do what he loves to do the most, knock him out.

Koscheck is a former wrestling champ. His stand up skills have given him a reputation on their own. His goal is to have a rematch with Georges St-Pierre; however, due to a number of situations this bout is down the road. On his Twitter message Koscheck posted, “Let the (*****) talking start. I am fighting Daley, May 1 co-main event UFC 113. This kid is going to get what he’s asking for.” If Koscheck is victorious over Daley it could be the victory to put him over the top.
